I've been away from Colorado for so long I don't know Kyle, but I went to high school there with kids who lived on ranches, so I'm familiar with Nut Cuttin' Time. The words not the actions.

I inherited a Le Creuset pot from the 50s but am downsizing my kitchen gadgets and spending, so I will only look at the Star Trek line. All the people old enough to remember the original show are at least 65 and thus many of them aren't cooking as much and don't have spare retirement money to blow on this. I encourage all the rich ones to buy it though.

A pot that's still going from the '50s. This is a peak old person thing to say, but I truly miss when things were well-made. I've noticed when perusing Goodwill aisles that it's all cheap plastic shit. Even thrifting has been enshittified.

It's been properly treated all these years, and I don't use it much -- but when I do, I clean it and make everyone treat it reverently. Because it's older than everyone I know! I showed it to a late Gen Xer and he got wide-eyed in respect. It's so old it was still made in France, in the original burnt orange, and looks new. When my parents had to go to the home, I left almost all of their stuff for an estate sale to support them, but I took that.

I should put it in my will to go to the favorite niece, that she may lord it over all the other family, especially her girl cousins, who are not nearly as kind/cool.
